Finding the image as I build it
I begin with a blank canvas and let the composition develop through the elements I bring together. Film references, memories of places and more abstract ideas become starting points. Changes in scale, colour and context help me find relationships that would not exist in the original images. Check out all the collections on the sbrollage website.

Stories between the pieces
The selected collages move between surreal scenes, cinematic references and impressions of travel. Some suggest a narrative immediately; others leave more space for interpretation. Across the series, I use composition to make separate fragments feel as though they belong to the same imagined world.
From still image to motion
Sbrollage also gives me a space to connect collage with animation. The motion experiments extend the images over time, opening up another way to work with rhythm and visual storytelling. The series remains a place for personal ideas to take shape beyond a client brief.
